Cambra House
Cambra was one of the largest and wealthiest family houses in the village. The original building was likely started in the 16th century, with later extensions to meet the needs of its inhabitants during times of good harvest and family growth. The most recent addition is the Southeast annex, as evidenced by the lintel dated 1907, which was actually a separate dwelling called Casa Sandil. This part was raised by one storey when the house was renovated. The last family to inhabit it was the Olivera-Gilabert family.
It is a magnificent example of a traditional Sobrarbe house, with strong stone walls and a typical tile roof. The dovecote high on the facade and the large cellars it houses within are particularly striking. The abundance of these cellars confirms the great importance of wine production and sales as a source of income in Morillo de Tou. Following its initial restoration, it underwent further renovation to improve the quality of the accommodation as a hostel and to equip it with renewable energy systems for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water.
